Energy Produced by Grid Connect Systems

System Capacity

Daily Energy Produced

How much energy can I expect from my system?

System Systems using Sharp 175 Watt Solar Panels

Power per day Based on 5 Peak Sun Hours

1KW 1050Watts 5.250KW/day
1.5KW 1575Watts 7.875KW/day
2KW 2100Watts 10.500KW/day
3KW 3150 15.750KW/day

System Capacity

Panels used in most grid connect systems range from 130 Watts to 220 Watts.

The system size or sometimes called system capacity is determined by the number of panels times the number of panel wattage.

For example: 1 kilowatt system is usually 6 panels, and if the panel wattage is 175Watts

System Capacity : 6 x 175 = 1050 Watts = 1.05KW,

if the panels are 170 Watts then

System Capacity: 6 x 170 = 1020 Watts = 1.02KW

Daily Energy Produced

To calculate the daily energy produced by your system:

multiply the number of peak sun hours for your area by the system capacity.
