There are only two major components in a grid connect system. A grid connect system is virtually maintenance free, apart from watching out for any shading caused by trees growing during the year and the occasional cleaning of the panels.

The Grid Connect Inverters.

There are a number of different brands of Grid connect inverters. Each one is slightly different in the operation.

For larger systems we recommend the new SolarEdge grid inverter, it has cutting edge technology advances and a 12-20 year warranty.

Fronius Grid Connect inverters have the ability to give you detailed information on the display screen, at the touch of a finger. There are a number of additional extras that can come with the Fronius inverters, such as direct connection to your PC and web access directly to the Fronius website for long term storage of the data produced by the system. Also the system components are a plug n play type arrangement, so repairs if necessary are not a problem.

The Latronics PVE inverters are locally made, in Caloundra, Queensland. There is no detailed information display for this inverter, it only has an instantaneous kw meter.

Other inverters we have installed are SMA Sunnyboys, CMS and Orion. Each one has definite advantages in its own right.
