Qld Govt Solar Bonus Scheme
(Feed-in-Tariff)
As off 19/09/11 there are NO changes to the Qld Govt Feed-in-Tariff Scheme, (also known as the Qld Solar Bonus Scheme.)
Please be aware, some so-called "solar grid connect" companies are using scare tactics to prompt people who haven't already had any solar grid connect systems installed on their properties into thinking that if they don't take advantage now or they will miss out.
Think about this, they promoted hard and fast prior to the end of June to get as many customers as they could before June 30th.
As a result the Solar Credit Scheme multiplier was dropped to 3 x instead of 4 x as announced back in January 2011.
In May 2011 Energex sent emails to interested parties that Energex was receiving record numbers of solar connection requests since February 2011, with over 14000 applications Form 1003 and over 14000 Network Connection Agreements. By June 3rd 2011 Energex was receiving 900 requests per day.

Changes to the size of the system
Queensland Government announced eligibilty changes to the Solar Bonus Scheme to come into effect from 7th June 2011.
Changes in
1. System size: grid connect systems connected to the grid in Queensland are now limited to 5kw.
2. Only one Scheme application per premise, or installation address.
If you are thinking you might want to put in a grid connect system larger than 5kw, you need to put in your application to Energex before 5pm 7th June 2011.
